Dancer Day in the Life Video Series: Quarantine Edition

Hi friends!

As yet another week of quarantine approaches I wanted to check in with you all.

Today's blog post is a bit different in that I wanted to give some insight in regards to my Youtube journey these past six months and the Day in My Life project I've grown quite fond of in tribute to my newest video that was just published on my channel!

Tribute to my newest video that was just published on my channel!

{see below}

Even before the start of this quarantine and the start of my own Youtube channel, I've always enjoyed watching Day in the Life videos uploaded by countless Youtubers. However, there was definitely a lack of videos featuring the perspective of dancers-or more specifically ballet dancers-in their daily routines.

In today's particular video I was able to create a longer encapsulation of my day and implement new editing techniques I've absorbed during this time off

Like many of us quarantined internet fiends, I have certainly increased my screen time (but am also making sure to step away in order to stay sane every now and then). I have found an appreciation and interest in watching the new Quarantine take on the series

On my channel (see here), I have tried my best to showcase this sort of content with the hopes of providing the same level of inspiration and entertainment my role models have done for me.

Despite all the closings of the places I go (ie. the studio and the gym) I have continued my own Day in the Life: Dancer Series

At Home in Quarantine.

Now that we're in quarantine my day to day looks a little different but with the help of my family I'm doing the best I can do to replicate a sense of normalcy!

Due to the rise in the amount of free-time I have, I feel as though I have been able to improve my editing skills noticeably so as the series goes on :)

Up until now, I have tried to keep my videos-with the exception of my Workout Series-Consistently short. I think that even though I had finally mustered up the confidence in October to begin my Youtube journey, I was still insecure in my content and editing abilities. In today's particular video I was able to create a longer encapsulation of my day and implement new editing techniques I've absorbed during this time off. Thus, making this installment of my Dancer Day in the Life Series a bit more special and even rewarding to see the final product.

If you have the time to sit down and watch it I would love any and all the feedback on what I have been able to present to you today! (I filmed this April 30, 2020-so this Thursday- and spent Saturday evening and yesterday morning editing it).

If you don't and are looking for some new background sounds other than your Quarantinemates-because let's face it we all need an escape right about now-

you might enjoy listening to this video Podcast style! I've found myself doing this a lot more recently, as I take on other creative projects or cooking this quarantine. Since we're limited in what we can achieve each day, I have felt much more productive in this sort of multitasking.

I appreciate your continued support on my journey

Stay Safe

&

I wish you all the best!

xx
